When DMS Wines are named Best Buys, it is always a welcomed win. Couple that with a Best Buy for the last 3 vintages also earning 90 points, and we’re thrilled!
That is just what La Berriere Muscadet will do in Wine & Spirits Magazine this April. Order up some oysters!
“Sings of summer with its fresh citrus notes,” Roger Voss noted of the light, bright floral wine.
One of the things we’ve seen with Muscadet (“muss-kuh-day”) is we have to overcome consumers’ association with Muscat – that sweet, sweet wine, letting folks know immediately: Muscadet is bone-dry.
Its exceptional terroir that makes La Berriere Muscadet gentle yet bright, with refreshing floral notes and zippy citrus. Its unusual depth and minerality make it the perfect wine to pair with oysters, seafood, white meats, and cheese. It’s the under $15 oysters go-to – and with a screw cap – easy to drink at the pool, beach or anywhere!
La Berriere Muscadet is produced from vines up to 60 years old in rocky soil, giving it pleasing minerality. Low yields produce the high-quality grapes. After fermentation, the wine remains on their fine lees at least 6 months with a batonnage every two weeks.
It’s known in our portfolio as a Top Best Buy – last 3 vintages! 2018: Wine Enthusiast Best Buy ; Wine & Spirits Best for $12 or Less
